Tyler Harlicker was diagnosed with B-precursor Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on December 1st, 2009.  Tyler underwent months of treatment while struggling to fight this disease.  Throughout his journey, Tyler continued to teach others what it meant to have courage and perseverance, passion and grace, humor and love.  Tyler had a great zest for life and, even on his darkest days, Tyler thought more about others than he thought of himself.  Tyler had wisdom beyond his years and was determined to leave this world a better place than when he found it.  Unfortunately, he lost his battle and passed away in March of 2011.  Tyler led his life on a few basic principles; showed compassion to others, lived with courage, loved endlessly, gave from the heart and made a difference in the world!  Recipients must be an Owatonna High School Senior attending a 2 or 4 year college.
